San Francisco SoMA Capacity Building Initiative

For community-based organizations working or providing services in SOMA.

NCCLF has partnered with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development and the South of Market (SoMA) Community Stabilization Fund to make positive and long-lasting impact on the lives of the community’s low-income children, families, and seniors. The mission of the SoMA Community Stabilization Fund is to stabilize the community and promote equity through strategies that mitigate the impact of development.

Through this program NCCLF is offering financial management and “real estate readiness” technical assistance services, as well as workshops to nonprofit organizations located in the South of Market neighborhood.  Real Estate Readiness workshops will be offered in early 2018.

These workshops are open and free of charge to community-based organizations serving the SoMa neighborhood. Priority is given to SoMA Stabilization Fund grantees.

Request for Financial Management Technical Assistance Services

TA services will be provided by NCCLF to help organizations strengthen and improve their financial systems and organizational capacity.  Organizations receiving TA services are expected to dedicate staff who will work directly with NCCLF consultants.  Services will be provided on a one-on-one basis and occasionally in a group setting if there are similar needs amongst the TA recipients.

Requests for technical assistance services will be reviewed by NCCLF and MOHCD staff.  TA requests will be reviewed and accepted on an on – going basis through March 30, 2018.
