2:30 pm - 7:00 pm
NCCLF at the Citizen’s Engagement Lab
1330 Broadway, 3rd Floor
Oakland, CA, 94610
About this Workshop:
Join us to learn some important tips that will help your organization successfully sign a new lease, renew an existing one, and how to communicate effectively and approach a landlord. In the Bay Area’s escalating real estate market, nonprofits are facing large rent increases. Despite this, nonprofits are still finding ways to lease space in the communities they serve. NCCLF will share examples of nonprofits that have successfully negotiated leases that fit their budgets and location considerations.
Participants in this Commercial Leasing Strategies Workshop will learn key terminology in commercial leases, pitfalls to watch for, negotiation strategies with landlords, and current trends in the bay area commercial market.
This workshop will be followed by Spaces for Good’s East Bay Kick-off Reception. If you’re only able to attend the Spaces for Good Kick-off reception, please visit: https://www.ncclf.org/events/spaces-for-good-east-bay-kick-off-reception-only/
About Spaces for Good:
Join NCCLF as we announce this exciting new tool that helps nonprofits find and list office space, meeting/event space, and co-working space. SpacesforGood.org was developed to assist nonprofits in sharing their space to mitigate the current commercial real estate market and earn revenue off of their unused space. Take a tour of this free online space listing tool before it is launched to the public.
Workshop: 2:30 – 5 pm
Spaces for Good Kick-off: 5-7 pm
