Andrea Papanastassiou

Andrea Papanastassiou joined NCCLF as Deputy Director of Consulting, overseeing the Real Estate Consulting Program, in August 2013. She has over 15 years of experience working in affordable housing and community development. Previously, Andrea was the Director of Real Estate Development for Eden Housing. Before joining Eden Housing in 2007, Andrea spent nine years at MidPen Housing Corporation, where she developed over 800 affordable apartments for families and seniors and supervised a development pipeline of 1,300 apartments and homes in seven greater Bay Area counties.  Her projects have won design awards from Sustainable San Mateo County, Pacific Coast Builders Conference, and Builder Magazine.

Andrea serves on the Board of Directors of the Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California and is a Past President of the Board of Directors of the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County, having served on the Board from 2004 – 2012.  Affordable Housing Finance Magazine named Andrea one of its 2011 Young Leaders.

Andrea holds a B.A. from Brown University with Honors in Environmental Studies and Urban Studies and a M.A. in Urban Planning from the UCLA Graduate School of Public Policy and Social Research.
